About the Course

The body has an amazing ability to protect, regulate, communicate and heal, and body awareness and clear movement expression are critical for strong and healthy families, marriages, work teams and communities. In other words, how people move, matters.

This is an IN-PERSON, four-week, experiential movement course (with five hours of bonus observation opportunities*) to help you help others find resilience, purpose, sensitivity and freedom all through movement, while helping yourself (as health practitioner or guide) inspire trust, exude warmth, genuinely empathize and kindly challenge, all without saying a word.

Class size is limited to ten, ensuring personal attention and feedback to support your personal wellness and wholeness while equipping you to care for others.

Course includes certificate of completion, a study guide for future reference, helpful resources, and video access to movement exercises/experiences to apply immediately in your practice.

All abilities welcome. Please consult with your health care provider prior to participating.

What to wear: Comfortable clothing that allows you to lie on the floor, sit and move comfortably through the space; bare feet or socks. Knee pads, a blanket and 2-4 small to medium pillows recommended for more comfortable “floor work.”

*Four Bonus Observation Opportunities!

See it all come together! Observe couples in a group-class setting, exploring the concepts of leading, following, giving and receiving through slow-dancing, movement games/experiences and touch-communication. (Or participate by bringing your own partner!) Observation opportunities are included in workshop fee but optional.

Observation Dates: February 10, 6:30pm-7:45pm (500 W 17th, Holland). February 17, 24 and March 3, 6:30-7:45pm (Life Stream Church in Allendale)**
